It's like a picture story. It tells a storyline.
Even in a comic, I don't necessarily need a text to understand the plot.
I think Quire13 doesn't have the right order. Something is just not right here.
You don't start a fermentation before you have determined the ingredients.
Rule: description, ingredients, fermentation, separation, processing.
Quire13 describes exactly this process, but unfortunately not in the right order.
And that's what 30 years of professional experience in pharmaceutics tells me.
