I'd like to see some evidence of cycles. The problem is to find some correlation with "co-ordinates, or whatever". Coordinates (in astronomical tables) would be too random to match the typical word structure. Many astronomical/astrological events, like lunar phases, would be too obviously cyclical. Has anyone tried to compare a record of planetary conjunctions, quadratures, oppositions with Voynichese?

There is one statistical study that found significant "auto-correlation of symbol reuse": You are not allowed to view links. Register or Login to view. by Vladimir Matlach, Barbora Anna Janeckova, Daniel Dostal.

Quote:The results show that approximately 90.4% of all 760 tested lags passed the significance threshold, not rejecting the possibility of existing rules determining delays between reusing nearly all the symbols. Also, 90.1% of the 760 tested lags are significantly positive.

I don't understand what they mean exactly. Is the text somehow compatible with a record of astronomical/astrological events?
